GESCHICHTEN AUS DER ROSENHECKE

GESCHICHTEN AUS DER ROSENHECKE

SUMMARY

Rosalie Pfefferkorn wrote this wonderful story about what happens inside of the magical rose bush while sleeping beauty is deep in her enchanted slumber. Lots of charming animal character as well as some fairy tale creatures find their way through the thorns and into a world of its own.

This book, which is directed at young children, and is perfectly suited to be read out loud by a parent or grandparent, was in need of some immersive illustrations, that portray this magical place and its inhabitants. To keep the book light and digestible, only gentle imagery was requested.

The author had this vision of a nostalgic fairytale design, including gold embellishments. And that’s exactly what I made happen – in collaboration with Pia Froihofer, who was responsible for the typography and who crafted the beautiful embellishments. I was responsible for the illustration, the layout and the print preparation. If you’re curious to read it yourself, you can shop the bound book online, for example on amazon.

COVER DESIGN

Here, you can have a look at a few layout pages with illustrations, as well as some illustrations on their own. Of course, I cannot spoil too much of the story!
